    Mission statement:

    Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Quality performance for the business area. Support the business by applying in-depth knowledge to offer solutions and advice through delivery of Group-wide performance improvement programs and/or Group Audit Program.

    Your responsibilities:

    • You will contribute to driving behavioral change and continuous improvement though delivery of training and competence initiatives and expert support to the Local Business Units in line with plan agreed, support the sharing of best practice, coordinate reporting on HSE performance and support delivery of Group audit program. You will contribute to assessing emerging trends and legislation in HSE and communicates relevant information on legal requirements within area of expertise and geography and support BU to operate in compliance with standards and respective legal obligations.
    • You will deliver and deploy HSE training, audit and Group-wide performance improvement programs, provide analysis of HSE data within area of responsibility, report on progress on implementation of Sustainability Objectives and key performance indicators (KPI) as required, support team and participates in risk assessments, cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness and drive performance, engage with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility and contribute to plans and execute Health, Safety and Environment performance related projects and develop and reports on project objectives.

    • You will collaborate with Country Management for Local HSE requirements, cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness and drive performance, engage with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment and credibility. You will ensure safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment, attend required health, safety and environment and quality training, report injuries, incidents, hazards and near miss events, model safe work behaviours in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls, drive and hold itself accountable for the highest standards of health, safety, and environment to ensure Zero Harm is achieved.
    • You will be responsible for compliance with relevant HSE policy and procedures, ensuring proactive risk assessments take place and corrective actions monitored/followed up, contribute to an injury, incident, near miss and hazard reporting , analysis of root cause and implementing corrective action in collaboration with different team, prepare the business in line with Hitachi Energy Management system requirements, lead the mandatory training program in the business, reviewing ABRA and LSR Compliance and take actions and follow-up with team to close gaps on time.
    • You will perform safety observation tours, safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance, manage all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with ISO standards, compile all NCs, prepare corrective action and follow up for closure of NCRs, prepare and timely submit all MIS & reports, share best practices across all units to grow the knowledge and competence of the teams, lead in BU Carbon neutrality program and support the factories on Machine Safety Requirements and compliance and implement the Machine Safety standards in the Factories. You will prepare the Manifest for all hazardous materials disposal and good knowledge of legal requirements.

    Your background:

    • Diploma in HSE education.
    • Minimum 3 years of field/project HSE experience.
    • Legal /HSE requirement related to Australia Regulations / act.
    • Quality control/documentation experience is an advantage.
    • Proficient with MS Word, Excel; Demonstrated Negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication skills.
