It administers securitisation portfolios, investment and debt structures to protect the interests of our clients' investors.

As Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of clients in order to build and maintain effective client relationships in a manner that complies with the law, scheme/trust documentation, regulatory framework, Perpetual policies and procedures and applicable industry practice to ensure superior client service.

About the role

As a Client Manager at Perpetual Corporate Trust you will:

  • Complete relevant fund obligations applicable to the role of trustee and responsible entity for a portfolio of registered and unregistered trusts
  • Ensure timeliness of all scheme regulatory lodgements
  • Assist the Senior Manager and Senior Client Manager to ensure compliance is managed appropriately in accordance with compliance plan controls
  • Coordinate and manage updates to scheme documents including PDS updates and service provider agreements.
  • Participate in disclosure document and fund promotion material due diligence
  • Assist Governance Manager in monitoring service providers including; investment managers, custodians/prime brokers, registries and administrators
  • Assist with the on-boarding and integration of new business
  • Manage the off-boarding of schemes that are winding up
  • Regular client liaison (meetings and phone)
  • Develop & maintain operational relationships with key clients and service providers
  • Maintain and manage delivers as per Perpetual's internal compliance and risk recording systems
  • Present at the RE board and Compliance Committee meetings as and when required
  • Manage and oversee the billing for assigned clients
  • Review regular reports received by each client for compliance with scheme/trust reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Escalate any legal/regulatory red flags to senior members of the Client Management Team
  • Ensure all regulatory lodgements (annual financial statements, tax returns and annual distributions) completed at year end in a timely manner in accordance with Perpetual policies and procedures
  • Assist Relationship Manager and Risk Manager with annual compliance plan audit and any other risk or regulatory related audit or review
  • Oversee and coordinate the production of annual regulatory reporting including Financial Statements


About you- Business/accounting/economics/law degree desirable- Any tertiary qualification is acceptable with appropriate experience- Minimum 3 years' experience in operating or providing services to a registered or unregistered trust- Working knowledge of the managed funds industry and operational experience (custody, administration, registry, audit, investment operations) relating to managed investment schemes is highly regarded- Strong client management and process management skills.
