Our Division


Tax is accountable for advising on tax impacts on products, pricing and commercial arrangements, managing tax risks, and tax compliance.


The opportunity


Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax and working closely with GST Assurance Manager your primary task is to manage GST issues, costs, and risks across the AMP business, and for super funds for which an AMP entity is the trustee.


How you will make an impact

  • Advising stakeholders (including transaction managers, product managers, trustees, operations, legal and finance teams) on technical matters relating to pricing, contract terms, M&A activity, crossborder transactions and compliance, reviewing contracts and assisting in negotiations with customers and suppliers concerning GST related contractual matters.
  • Identifying and managing GST risk issues across the business
  • Advising on GST related accounting and invoicing processes and systems.
  • Managing internal stakeholder, as well as the ATO and external service providers. Reviewing and authorising the submission of BAS

What you will bring to the role

  • Ideally at least 5 years' experience in a GST technical role with an excellent understanding of Australian GST law, ATO practice and GST compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss tax technical matters in plain language.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in respect of GST accounting
Your Financial Service sector experience would be well regarding but not essential.
