About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced floor supervisor for a leading steel reinforcement manufacturer.

As a floor supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring everything is operating efficiently and within a safe working environment.

Working closely with the warehouse manager, you will be expected to direct operational activities in line with the organisation's goals and objectives.

Our client prides themselves on speed, efficiency, and dependability and as the supervisor, you will play a critical part in ensuring the team consistently performs to a high standard.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with planning, organising, and manufacturing operations (e.g. production, bundling, staging, and loading).
  • Assist with the workflow, manning and space utilization, production layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with ensuring the warehouse/production floor operates at peak efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing clients' standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager to Conduct/facilitate Toolbox Talks when required.
  • Monitoring product compliance and reporting discrepancies within reasonable timeframes.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with Training & Development

Requirements
(preferred but not essential):

  • 3 years previous experience in a similar role/industry
  • Experience with reinforcement/manufacturing industry
  • NSW Driver's Licence
  • Strong people skills and the ability to coordinate staff
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable
  • High standard for safety
  • Decision making skills and problemsolving skills
  • Attention to details
  • Intermediate skills Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook)
