In the role of Project Costing Officer, you will contribute to the commercial sustainability of RoadTek through the provision of advice, expertise and operational delivery of day to day costing/financial, procurement and project administration services and information whilst ensuring the service provided is timely, effective and responsive to management requirements.

You will organise and/or assist with the ordering, purchasing and supply of project requirements to allow infrastructure delivery related work to proceed in a timely manner.


Accountabilities include:


  • Undertake financial and timesheet transactions in relation to daily costing, revenue claims.
  • Contribute as part of a team to deliver more efficient and competitive products and services to clients.
  • Monitor the financial position of projects and work orders.
  • Undertake "End of Month" and "on request" financial reporting to enable accurate project or work order tracking.
  • Requisition and monitor the supply of goods and services to ensure workflows are uninterrupted.
  • Prepare and check employee timesheets for validity of allowances and entitlements to enable correct payment in accordance with relevant Industrial Awards, work agreements and departmental policies.
  • Investigate and resolve employee payroll discrepancies.

Mandatory requirements:


  • You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
  • Relevant Queensland Government procurement qualifications or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Criminal history screening will be conducted on the recommended person for this role.
