The Opportunity:

The HSE Manager position will see you play an integral role within our Central Region.


Reporting to the Regional General Manager as part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will support the effective management of Health, Safety, Environment and Worker's Compensation requirements.

This role is based in Fairfield or Rutherford with intermittent travel to our Regional Branches and customer sites.

Key responsibilities:


  • Work closely with National HSE Managers, the Regional General Manager, and the Senior Leadership Team in implementing key strategic initiatives
  • Analyse regional data to identify emerging issues and develop and implement an annual regional HSE continuous improvement strategic plan
  • Drive safety culture through effective engagement and building of strong relationships with line leaders and the HSE team
  • Ensure legal compliance in HSE activities and report on nonconformance issues

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Tertiary qualification in HSE
  • Proven industry experience in workplace health and safety in a leadership role
  • Experience engaging and building trustful relationships and the ability to work effectively with both senior internal and external stakeholders
