The Role
The role is varied and challenging, requiring a range of administrative and analytical skills.
The role will see the Administration Officer work alongside uniformed Defence personnel to conduct essential administrative and business support tasks for Land Warfare Centre.
The position presents a unique opportunity to work within a small, close-knit team.Specific duties associated with the role include; liaison with Defence and civilian stakeholders, administrative and business support and provide assistance in the preparation of written submissions, briefs, and other correspondence for Defence and external stakeholders.
The role includes the lower level management of financial and capability resources allocated to the Wing and includes management of the allocated travel budget and registers and the financial systems used to capture commitments and reconciliation of expenditure.

Land Warfare Centre is a dynamic integrated work team comprising uniformed members and APS employees.
The team itself is a small but motivated and experienced cohort. The climate within the team espouses an adult workplace environment and a respectful open discourse between its members. The team values innovation, teamwork, flexibility, initiative and ownership in its members.
The ability to demonstrate broad range administrative experience in an at times, high tempo environment would be advantageous. Experience in an electronic records management system and financial and HR databases is also desirable.
