About the role


The Product Owner for Customer Insights is responsible for leading the delivery of customer data insights and reporting for Customer Experience & Operations (CX&O).

As the Product Owner, you'll be servicing various business stakeholders with regular and ad-hoc data insights in areas such as Revenue Assurance, Operational Reporting, Customer Analytics, and Customer Reporting.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Guide and lead the Customer Insights squad to support datadriven decision making, incident resolution and supplying accurate and constant data feeds.
  • Squad prioritisation, ensure the prioritised backlog is aligned with the Transurban Customer strategy.
  • Communicate the vision for Customer Insights, lead the direction and be the steward for the delivery team and be the conduit between other teams and the broader Transurban business.
  • Identify, track and communicate benefits and impacts of new services and feature enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and customer needs and translate these into product features.
  • Contribute to and when appropriate, facilitate delivery team activities, such as ideation, discovery, requirements clarifications, product showcase and agile ceremonies.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Extensive experience of product ownership / management, ideally from an environment with a large scale customer base.
  • Experience in leading work streams preferably gained from large enterpriselevel change initiatives and complex transformations.
  • Welldeveloped time management and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and develop robust roadmaps.
  • Skills in critical thinking, analytical ability and problem solving, with the ability to overlay business acumen to developed insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work crossfunctionally and collaborate with a variety of people and team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to consult, influence and negotiate as needed with employees, stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills paired with the curiosity to find better ways of working.
  • Demonstrated ability to work crossfunctionally and collaborate with a variety of people.
  • A builder of relationships, you won't be afraid to challenge the status quo, helping to problem solve through your ability to understand requirements and coordinate various moving parts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to consult, influence and negotiate.
