Global Parking Solutions (GPS) is a developer and technology solutions provider for the banking, retail, parking, fuel, self-service and cash handling markets.

The company is part of the DCA Pty Ltd in Australasia, providing exceptional service since 1938.

GPS NZ is seeking an experienced Stores Person with a strong mechanical flair who is experienced in managing all inwards, outwards, picking of goods and are prepared to do electro-mechanical assembly.


Primary Objectives of the position are:

  • All goods are picked and packed in such a way to minimise damage during the delivery process and dispatched to the correct address.
  • Complete all computerized transactions and paper/computer trail pertaining the deliveries.
  • Receive and store materials in a safe and practical way and keep record of storage locations in the computer system.
  • Assemble electromechanical assemblies.
  • Assist in the production process.
  • Hilevel test of electromechanical assemblies.
  • Participate in the biannual stock counts.

Position responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • To receive and store components, spares and all finished products in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
  • Record the bin locations in the ERP system.
  • To ensure that all components, spares and product are stored in locations in such a way that no damage or injury occur when items are stored or picked.
  • To ensure that internal and external sales and production orders are picked accurately, efficiently and effectively and that all records are accurately updated.
  • Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies.
  • To provide input for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Do biannual stock takes.
  • Be part of the warehouse and production team.
  • Practice and adhere to our company Safety initiatives.

What you need to be successful in the role:

  • Experience in a similar Warehouse administrator role.
  • Competent in the use of basic MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of an integrated ERP system.
  • Being able to work unsupervised.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail mindset.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Previous experience with basic manual tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
  • Can follow instructions for assembly.
This is a permanent full-time position. The hours of work are 40 hours from Monday to Friday between 08.00am to 17.00 pm.
