Job Description:


Working with the Social Value team, Strategic Pursuits Manager and Client and Marketing Manager, the Social Benefit & Inclusion advisor will be responsible for developing and implementing a social responsibility strategy for Civil Infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional areas of Victoria.


This is a relationships driven role in which you will work to establish a network of connections that will facilitate relationships with social enterprise organisation, statutory authorities, local community members, First Nations organisations and Traditional owners with a view to future procurement of goods and services.


As the Social Benefit & Inclusion Advisor, be responsible for reporting the progress of the strategy to both internal and external stakeholders as needed which will lead you to developing a detailed working knowledge of the Building Equality Policy, Victorian Social Procurement Framework, Major Project Skills Guarantee Framework, Local Industry Development Program, and the Fair Jobs Code, you will keep abreast of any new framework or policies in Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania (VSAT) that require social procurement, updating the business strategy and approach as appropriate.


Qualifications:


About You


To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is passionate about community engagement, social impact and/or social procurement who has strong communication skills including the ability to prepare presentation materials to articulate ideas and suggestions to senior leaders.


In addition, you will have demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment with previous exposure to social procurement framework.

While not essential, our team are ideally looking for someone who is a creative thinker with the ability to connect local First Nations perspectives to infrastructure projects.


  • Previous medium to long term experience in notforprofit or professional services environment.
  • Skills in building relationships with social procurement organisations, First Nations businesses, local statutory and social enterprises.
