We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

The Opportunity


We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Medical Day Unit/ Dialysis team as an
Administrative Assistant on a
part time hours per week (3 days) basis until 24th October 2024.



  • The Administrative Assistant is accountable to the Medical Unit Head/Nurse Unit Manager, of the Department, on a daytoday basis for:
  • Providing a high level of administrative and reception support services to the Department
  • > Maintaining and ensuring accuracy of clerical documentation
  • > Contributing to the provision of effective patient care management by maintaining accurate records, booking lists and other details
  • > Facilitating patient admissions and discharges.
  • > Facilitate patient bookings to Medical Day Unit.
  • > Oversee patient flow through Medical Day Unit.
  • > Assists in the management of outpatient clinic bookings
    About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Provide a consultancy and advisory service to management and staff at all levels and to establish and maintain both integrity and confidentiality in dealing with issues of a sensitive nature.
  • > Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
  • > High-level time management and organisation skills.
  • > Have previous administrative / clerical experience
  • > Have experience in typing reports, letters, etcTo find out the specifics, including the
