About Role:
As a Procurement and Contracting Specialist, you will:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to diverse stakeholders, ensuring a customer-focused approach to inform efficient, ethical, and economical procurement decisions for ICT goods and services.
- Prepare key procurement documentation to the highest standard and within specified timelines. This includes Procurement Plan Minutes, Evaluation Plans, Risk Matrices, Contract Management Plans, and RFQ/T documentation.
- Conduct thorough due diligence in reviews of competitive bids, vendor reputations, cost and service comparisons, and make wellinformed recommendations aligned with the goals of the department.
- Contribute significantly to innovation, changes in workplace practices, and business improvement in the procurement and contracting domain.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Advanced knowledge of government procurements, including the principles and practices behind the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Highly desirable qualifications such as a Certificate IV or VI in Procurement and Contracting, or tertiary qualifications in administration, business, commerce, or law.
- A talent for identifying strategic and innovative solutions, with an awareness of medium to longterm procurement opportunities.
- A deliveryoriented mindset, accepting accountability for achieving objectives within stipulated timeframes.
- Adaptability to changing circumstances, multiple priorities, and demands, along with resilience while navigating a dynamic environment.
- A commercial outcomefocused approach to delivery, including proactive anticipation of client requests.
- A proven ability to establish and maintain effective strategic business partnerships.
- Strong written communication skills.
