We are seeking the services of a trade qualified boilermaker/metal fabricator/fitter-welder

Position now available to join workshop based fabrication team in Virginia Qld.

Close to train line at Sunshine Station

We fabricate a variety of different components, so most days are not repetitive.

Predominantly fabricating RHS/SHS frames in steel and aluminium.

Having the ability to make square and true frames is a must.

• Welding using MIG and Tig
• Cutting to size RHS,SHS etc on bandsaw
• Prepping steel/aluminium for welding
• Marking out and drilling holes on the drill press and mill
• Finishing off frames/components neatly using abrasives to send for powdercoating
• General housekeeping
• Ability to work autonomously
• Forklift ticket desirable

Workshop based role, offering hours of 6am-3pm Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm Fridays

Additional overtime is sometimes on offer. Starting rate would be $33/hr plus penalties


Salary:
$33.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

- welding and fabrication: 5 years (required)
