In this position based at our head office in Mulgrave, Victoria, you will join a high performing Special Vehicles team responsible for Sustainment management services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

As the G-Wagon National Fleet Manager you will be responsible to ensure the fleet is maintained to a Fully Functional Equipment (FF) level by adhering to all Defence policies and processes.


The term of the role is for 12 months and will require you to travel to Victoria Barracks for major projects during the year in line with the Defence calendar.

Key duties & responsibilities:


  • Maintain the 2023/2024 financial procurement plan and develop the 2024/2025 plan ready for presentation first quarter 202
  • Ensure that the fleet capability and sustainment are maintained while ensuring the Sustainment Manager is briefed on all pertinent information regarding the functionality of the fleet and review Contract Documents.
  • Ensure that stale commitments are followed up in a timely manner
  • Work with the Assistant National Fleet Manager to ensure parts demands are met
  • Propose activities that will reduce unnecessary expenditure of Defence budget
  • Manage the team to ensure all contracted deliverables are supplied within the required timeframes.
  • Maintain monthly reporting pack to track vehicles variant status, other projects and process improvements.

Qualifikationen:


What you will need to be successful:

  • Good Interpersonal and communications skills
  • High degree of Computer literacy
  • Ability to work autonomously and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with Defence processes and procedures advantageous
  • Specific knowledge in Project Management, Supply Chain & Logistics,
  • Personnel management experience
  • Hold an Australian Citizenship
  • Ability to achieve a Defence BASE LEVEL security clearance
  • Relative Financial degree or Business equivalent is advantageous.
