  • Based in our Beenleigh or Capalaba offices
  • Permanent parttime position 3 days/week

What you will be doing:


  • Develop individualised strategies for people with disability to reduce the occurrence and impact of behaviours of concern and minimise the use of restrictive practices.
  • Undertake functional behavioural assessments to develop behaviour support plans containing evidencebased, proactive strategies that meet the specific needs of the client.
  • Conduct all required processes with a focus on personcentred interventions.
  • Plan and deliver behaviour support approaches that comply with the Disability Services Act 2006, NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and OH&S legislation.
  • Ensure team members are appropriately trained to implement positive behaviour strategies or use regulated restrictive practices
  • Provide bestpractice advice to team members in relation to behaviour support.
  • Assist team members, NDIS clients, their families, and other decisionmakers to understand the NDIS Commission's behaviour support function.

What you will bring:


  • Minimum of 1 years experience in Complex Behaviour Support or completion of a degree level qualification as an Allied Health professional
  • Suitability at the Core or Provisional level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission) or a strong desire to work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • An understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and relevant disability legislation
  • Blue Card for Working with Children and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Drivers Licence
