About the Role:
Our client is in the Defence arena, seeking to deliver expansive data centers and ICT infrastructure to be delivered within the next 6 years.
The upcoming projects will focus on:
- Core network and uplift existing systems,
- Enhanced data capabilities, considering domain transfer services, refining zero trust, micro segmentation,
- Cloud services,
- Highly available distributed workloads and
- Expanding the current ICT support organisation and processes
Data Specialist positions available to start in November 2023 (or later depending on availability):
- Data Architect
- Data Engineer
- Data Manager
- Data Transformation Manager
- ETL
Skills required:

Data Manager
- Develop and monitor polices for effective data management
- Formulate management methodologies for quality data collection to ensure accuracy and legitimacy of data sets
- Develop and implement secure data management procedures
Data Transformation Manager
- ETL
- Develop processes for data format conversion
- Conduct data migration tasks
- Develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pathways between technical systems
- Develop formats or data base schemas that allow for data discovery
Other roles:

Data Architect:
- Lead the development and operation of data transport, processing and storage solutions (Big Data)
- Ensure end to end operation of data systems
- Review and analyse data infrastructure
- Plan for future data solutions
- Develop data management methodologies
Data Engineer
- Design and build data warehouses, databases and data lakes
- Implement data optimization methods and scaling of data storage
