The Position

St John of God Subiaco Hospital is the oldest and biggest hospital in our group, having been established in 1898. With 600 beds, it is one of Australia's most respected providers of health care services and an internationally renowned leader in clinical trials and research.
SJG Subiaco Hospital is also a leader in innovation and adoption of new technologies, including the implementation of robotic surgical devices and virtual reality imaging technology. Our hospital is located in the heart of Subiaco close to stylish cafes, boutiques and with easy access to the train station

To support the hospital's commitment to ensuring our caregivers deliver quality patient care and an excellent patient experience, we are seeking a committed and motivated
Coordinator of Safety, Quality and Risk to join the team.

As a
Coordinator of Safety, Quality and Risk, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the St John of God Subiaco Hospital accreditation and licensing requirements.
  • Providing direction and support to the hospital and its caregivers in the areas of clinical risk management, clinical incident reporting, clinical auditing and quality improvement.
This position is being offered on a
permanent part-time basis, working 60.8 hours per fortnight.

  • Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in accreditation, quality improvement and clinical risk management in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding, knowledge, expertise and achievement of accreditation and private hospital licensing requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse information and provide reports relating to findings.
  • Highly developed organisational skills.
  • Sound computer skills.
