Melbourne based firm is planning to expand into Brisbane and needs the expertise of a Senior Solicitor with broad experience to take the mantle and help set up the office.

Conditions for Success:

Minimum 5 Years PQE practising as an Australian Solicitor
Proficient with
SMOKEBALL Legal Software:
Experience with a broad range of law areas, in specific: Family, Maritime and Criminal Law, as well as Civil Litigation and Wills & Probate.

Excellent communication skills

Confident approach and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and relevant third parties
Experience in Business Development & readily ability to manage client expectations
Motivated to provide excellent client service
Ability to prioritise and manage many files and project deadlines simultaneously.
Adept commercial acumen and disposition proactive, innovative and outcomefocused approach

Your Responsibilities:

Liaise with clients, solicitors and barristers, along with Melbourne office staff to help grow the Brisbane branch.
Minimum 5 billable hours per day
Estate planning including Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardianship
Willing to occasionally travel interstate to help build the practice (travel costs paid for)
Attend networking events to represent the new branch
Prepare court documents, correspondence, and briefs to barristers
Arrange meetings and manage your case files with attention to detail
Handle matters from start to finish autonomously
Draft other legal documents such as complex Wills with Testamentary Trusts
Establish and maintain client relationships and expectations through regular and effective communication.
Liaising with Psychological counsellors in the team
