Melbourne based firm is planning to expand into Brisbane and needs the expertise of a Senior Solicitor with broad experience to take the mantle and help set up the office.


The role has the flexibility for WFH,

Conditions for Success:


  • Minimum 5 Years PQE practising as an Australian Solicitor
  • Proficient with
    SMOKEBALL Legal Software:
  • Experience with a broad range of law areas, in specific: Family, Maritime and Criminal Law, as well as Civil Litigation and Wills & Probate.


  • Excellent communication skills

  • Confident approach and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and relevant third parties
  • Experience in Business Development & readily ability to manage client expectations
  • Motivated to provide excellent client service
  • Ability to prioritise and manage many files and project deadlines simultaneously.
  • Adept commercial acumen and disposition proactive, innovative and outcomefocused approach

Your Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with clients, solicitors and barristers, along with Melbourne office staff to help grow the Brisbane branch.
  • Minimum 5 billable hours per day
  • Estate planning including Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardianship
  • Willing to occasionally travel interstate to help build the practice (travel costs paid for)
  • Attend networking events to represent the new branch
  • Prepare court documents, correspondence, and briefs to barristers
  • Arrange meetings and manage your case files with attention to detail
  • Handle matters from start to finish autonomously
  • Draft other legal documents such as complex Wills with Testamentary Trusts
  • Establish and maintain client relationships and expectations through regular and effective communication.
  • Liaising with Psychological counsellors in the team
