Due to an expansion within the group across our African Operations, AUMS are currently seeking suitably experienced Environmental, Health, Safety and Training Co-ordinators to join our Operations based in Africa.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and day to day maintenance of Environmental, Health, Safety & Training functions.
You will provide advice and technical support to both contractors and staff, including expats and our workforce of National employees.
Your ability to engage, involve and provide supportive is paramount. Living and working in different countries and adapting to other cultures can be challenging yet rewarding.Minimum Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS;
- Certificate IV Assessment & Training and the ability to deliver training through multiple media. Trainers will be required to deliver both theory and practical training;
- Ability to conduct quality risk assessments, investigations and report writing
- Extensive background in the Underground Mining industry, with a working knowledge of multiple disciplines and experience in Mines Rescue is preferable;
- Ability to engage, communicate and influence Managers and Employees including Non English speaking nationals;
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Minimum 5 years underground mining experience.

A full pre-employment medical will be required, including a drug and alcohol screen, relevant vaccinations and site specific clearances. A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at time of interview.Applicants with underground experience will be preferred.
