Who you are
UniSQ is seeking a proactive individual experienced in operations, event management, hospitality and other relevant activities.

This is a new role and will have an opportunity to contribute to building a presence for UniSQ in Brisbane.


Your customer-centric focus and experience in fast paced and everchanging environments will be crucial in ensuring the operations of UniSQ Brisbane are managed effectively in partnership with the team.


What you'll do


Working directly with the Associate Director (UniSQ Brisbane) the Operations Coordinator is responsible for promoting a positive public image of the University by effectively delivering daily operations, functions, and events at UniSQ Brisbane to internal and external stakeholders.


The position will be key in providing a positive and memorable experience at UniSQ Brisbane by ensuring customer needs are met when attending the facility.

What will help you succeed

  • It is essential you hold qualifications in event management or other relevant disciplines with at least four years' subsequent work experience in an events, communications, marketing or hospitality environment, or specialist service delivery expertise in one or more of these fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/ training.
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills, including advanced interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work closely with senior executives, maintain confidentiality and effectively and professionally communicate on a range of topics to a wide range of internal and external clients, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and participate and interact positively, cooperatively and equitably with other colleagues.

Total remuneration range of $106,966 to $118,279 pa (includes salary range of $90,381 to $99,940 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
