Digital, Technology and Data?


The purpose of Digital, Technology and Data is to design, build and maintain products, services and experiences that Australian's love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post.

The key areas that Customer Experience and Digital Technology is responsible for include Customer Experience, Customer Services, Decipha, Identity and Financial Services, Digital Channels, Data Science, Data Commercialisation, Product Engineering and Platforms, as well as Technology.


Position Purpose:


This role is accountable for leading the Business Analyst (BA) craft and managing the pool of Business Analysts, including Business Systems Analysts, for Digital, Technology and Data (DTD).


This role will engage with senior business leaders as well as the DTD stakeholder and incorporates accountabilities as a Craft level lead, supporting the craft as a whole to improve best practices across BA for DTD teams.

The BA Craft lead will recommend governance artefacts and methodologies for the craft, documentation, training and communication requirements and cadence.


What we're looking for

  • Experience as BA and BA Craft Lead of a large organisation.
  • Experience within an IT transformation project or large IT modernisation programme.
  • Experience in leading deeply technical and business BA resources.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with Executive Management that can withstand challenging environments and conversations.
  • Builds counselling Relationships with senior management.

_What will I be doing in this role?_

  • Accountable for the continuous development and improvement of the Australia Post organisational capability for the BA Craft, methodology, governance process, tools and technologies that are required to enable this critical function.
  • A member of the IT Extended Leadership Team, where you will have exposure to the broader enterprise DTD business. This includes our General Managers of Technology, Digital and Data as well as all of their direct reports.
  • Responsible for effective management of BA resources to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Lead a culture within the Function that fosters the One Australia Post approach, focuses on safety & wellbeing, and puts the customer at the forefront of all activities and decisions.
  • Manage and execute governance processes including forums, reporting, reviews.
  • Onboarding, training, support, and tools access management for all BAs.
  • Definition, and creation of practice processes, and artefacts supporting Agile and nonAgile delivery methods.
