Browse - Production Systems Flow Assurance Engineer


Duties & Responsibilities:

Frame and describe flow assurance related technical studies and deliverables required as part of the Browse Project upstream scope of work, the NWS Joint Technical Studies downstream processing requirements and overall Browse-NWS integrated production system

Ensure integration and alignment of subsurface requirements, performance of subsea gathering systems, topsides receiving facilities and export trunkline up to and including the tie-in point and receiving facilities at KGP

Development of operating philosophies and guidelines for extensive subsea production systems

Identification, management and resolution of flow assurance risks and uncertainties

Interfacing with other engineering disciplines and other Browse and NWS work groups including Subsea, Pipelines, Operations, Subsurface, FPSO and commercial


Oversee preparation of the relevant engineering deliverables and design philosophies, including coordination of formal reviews and assessments (including liaison with Technical Authorities as required).

This will include responsibility for the design studies as required to resolve outstanding design and interface issues

Scope, evaluate and manage external flow assurance studies with third party contractors

Participation in the development of scopes of work, and preparation prequalification questionnaires and technical bid evaluation as part of the technical bid evaluation process for FEED phase contracts

Interface with Joint Venture Participants providing concise explanation and description of results, conclusions and recommendation


Skills & Experience:


  • Accredited degree in Engineering
  • 10+ years' experience in Flow Assurance and/or Process Engineering, preferably with exposure to both Operations and Developments/Projects
  • Budget management and planning/scheduling skills.
  • Ability to identify and manage integration/project risks, while balancing input from discipline specialists, engineering and contracts/ procurement teams, etc.
