Description

ACT Treasury, within the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD), has a vacancy for a Senior Economist / Senior Research Officer.

You will undertake econometric modelling and quantitative analysis to support forecasts of economic variables and revenue estimates that are published in the ACT Budget.

You will also prepare quantitative economic research to support our forecasts and policy advice including high quality written material explaining and supporting your research conclusions and provide material documenting your quantitative approach.

There will be opportunities to be involved in a range of economic forecasting and policy projects in this part of Treasury.

Eligibility/other requirements:
This position is based in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
