Description

• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and power equipment
• Ability to studying specifications to determine suitable material, methods and sequences of operations and machine settings.
• Ability to modify, replace and commission mechanical equipment within a GMP environment.
• Setting guides, stops and other controls on production machines to ensure smooth operational procedures for the day to day running of production
• Ability to fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and produce machines and equipment to suit our production line
• Extensive knowledge about fillers, closers, packaging equipment, palletisers and conveyor systems
• Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance across the site. Ensure a variety of plant & equipment incl. food preparation, cutting equipment, high speed packaging equipment, pumping systems, conveyors and sorting equipment is maintained as per the maintenance schedule.
• Ability to diagnose and identify problems at root cause Repair and improve plant machinery.
• Liaise with Production Supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment.

• You must have FMCG Experience in Beverage and Food Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
• A Team player with excellent communication skills
• Extensive knowledge about fillers, closers, packaging equipment, palletisers and conveyor systems
• Committed to working safely and maintaining a clean & tidy work area
• Reliable, motivated, and punctual
• Ability to work under limited supervision and independently
• Ability to prioritise and multitask, combined with strong attention to detail

• Cert III Engineering
• Mechanical (or equivalent)
• Welding experience of aluminium, steel and stainless steel. MAW and TIG welding
• Good Verbal and Written communication skills
• High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)

• A current Drivers licence
• Restricted Electrical Licence (Advantageous)
• Confined Space Entry Certificate (Advantageous)
• Boiler Licence (High Risk BS) preferable
