Railtrain are specialist providers of rail maintenance and construction services, accredited rail workforces, the delivery of nationally recognised training and safe working consultancy services to the Australian rail industry.

Railtrain partner with rail network owners, rail operators, suppliers and industry associations to provide innovative workforce solutions, whilst never losing focus of regulatory compliance.

Due to growth and new contracts Railtrain are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator.

Based in Newcastle and reporting directly to the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for a wide range of general administrative and record keeping duties to support the busy office of our National Training Services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Government funding reporting, lodgements and record keeping requirements Liaise with the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) and State and Federal funding agencies around signups, RTO funding and funding incentives.
  • Collecting data and information for the various quality and activity reports required by State and Federal Governments as part of RTO compliance.

  • Provide a clientfriendly service that caters for the delivery of quality customer service.
  • Assisting with RTO performance monitoring, validation, and auditing activities.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to other Training team members as and when required.
  • Knowledge of the VET Quality Framework
  • Knowledge of NSW Smart & Skilled reporting
  • Operational or administrative experience of at least 12 months in an RTO environment
  • High level of communication and literacy skills (both written and verbal)
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • A current Driver's Licence
  • Rail, resources, or transport industry experience (Desirable)
  • Experience using PowerPro RTO software (Desirable)
  • Outstanding initiative and selfstarting ability, and the ability to progress issues to resolution
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
