As the Principal ICT Contract Manager, you have a customer-centric approach to your work and are passionate about being a part of a high performing group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that are committed to getting the best contract management outcomes for their customers and the department.

Here are some of the activities you can expect to be doing:


  • Contribute to the development of contract management plans to achieve the required contract outcomes and realise identified benefits.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with approved Contract Management Plans and deliver expected outcomes through active review and management of contract performance and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain contract integrity by documenting all amendments and keeping appropriate records.
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners and external service suppliers, including implementing and managing contract performance and governance processes in line with contract terms and conditions.
  • Lead and manage the research, analysis and interpretation of complex contract and operational issues.
  • Identify and actively manage daily issues and emergent risks in an unpredictable and commercially sensitive environment.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, briefing notes and other correspondence in relation to contract matters and performance.
  • Lead a small team who facilitate the Branch's procurement of contingent labour
and ICT Services under Standing Offer Arrangements.

With extensive experience dealing with complex ICT contract management matters, you have empathy towards your customers and a keen interest in driving stakeholder objectives and maintain strategic stakeholder relationships to ensure the effective administration of contracts.

You are pro-active and solutions focussed, and you enjoy exploring out of the box ways to ensure the branch is realising savings and operational benefits through your day-to-day work.


What success looks like:


Using your extensive ICT strategic contract management experience, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management and compliance across the ICT category of spend.

You will also ensure you administer contracts ensuring the branch realises key performance indicators from the engagement. You will drive the delivery of stakeholder objects while developing strategic supplier relationships.
