    The opportunity:

    A great new opportunity for two Appian Developers to join our Delivery team in the Melbourne or Sydney office. Within this role you will prioritise analysing requirements, designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing software products and services to all areas of AIA Australia.

    To do this successfully you will:

  • Design, code, unit test, build and deploy complex software components according to the requirements provided in the user stories.
  • Create Technical Design on assigned projects. Ensuring that Technical Design aligns with the organizational system architecture and communicate the final and agreed Technical Design with all relevant groups and stakeholders.
  • Assess and understand the business requirements through liaison with the Technical Delivery Lead, Project Manager and Business Analysts and involvement in workshops with the key business user groups / stakeholders.
  • Engage with relevant Technical Lead and/or Business Unit stakeholders to communicate/negotiate technical limitations and/or boundaries.
  • Assist developers with interpretation of the technical design.
  • Contribute to the review and redesign of processes or procedures, on an ongoing basis, to deliver improved team productivity or efficiency.

    • S uccessful applications will demonstrate:

  • Bachelor, Technical Degree or Tertiary qualifications in Technology or related discipline, or 4+ years' experience in application development.
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in more than one software language
  • 4+ years' commercial and hands on experience of working within software development projects preferably in Insurance or Financial industry.
  • 1+ years' experience in software design and development preferably APPIAN
