Jennmar Australia is a leading manufacturer of ground support products for the underground mining and tunnelling industries. This includes rock bolts, plates, cable bolts, cuttable support, resin and cement anchoring.

Your New Role:

Historically, Jennmar Australia have outsourced their IT to third parties.

Over time, it has become apparent to the executive team that they need a more strategic leader internally who can drive business value and efficiency through fit for purpose, targeted, reliable, modern and secure technology solutions.

They need an experienced standalone IT Manager to lead strategic partnering conversations with Jennmar business unit heads to understand how technology can improve workflows/processes, operations, employee experience and overall competitive advantage.


You'll:

Oversee the strategic direction of IT to enhance capability through all business units;

Conduct a current state analysis of IT at Jennmar and serve as a trusted advisor to business units, understanding their technology needs and challenges and providing strategic guidance and solutions.

In doing so, building a new IT strategy and roadmap that leverages technology to solve business challenges and process inefficiencies;
Drive automation activities across Jennmar to reduce paper based work;
Managing IT annual budgets;

Evaluate and prioritise all IT projects and software proposals put forward by individual business units with consideration of the needs of the overall business.

Present recommendations to the executive team on the most fitting solutions that meets the overall business' needs;
Manage third party providers in the IT and communication areas to support current business needs;
Manage third parties and work closely with the Jennmar USA IT team to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and security systems, to ensure reliability, scalability, and security;
Third party provider contract management, ensuring accountability to SLA's; and

Coordinate the purchasing and receipt of user hardware. Validate billing, ensure bills are allocated to the appropriate departments/cost centres.


Your Background and Experience:

Minimum of three years' experience in a similar IT Manager, IT Business Partner or IT Team Leader role;
Proven experience building targeted, fit for purpose IT strategies that drive business value and efficiency;
Experience working within the manufacturing, supply chain, distribution or logistics industries also advantageous;

You will be a hands-on, collaborative, authentic and pragmatic leader who is passionate about being a strategic partner to leadership and business stakeholders.

You will be comfortable working in a standalone role;
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills; and


Above all else, you will be passionate about helping others and will possess a friendly, vibrant and positive attitude with a high level of emotional intelligence and professional maturity.
