Providing leadership in a team who are focussed on delivering innovative and contemporary children and youth services and programs within our Libraries
Develop strong partnerships with schools, commercial and community organisations to promote our library services and programs
Enrich the community by providing access to information that supports children and youth services education and cultural services and promoting learning, literacy and leisure opportunities.
Seek opportunities to evolve and continuously improve enhancing productivity, quality of service and customer experience.
Encourage and inspire others' passion for lifelong learning.
Be a positive brand ambassador for the Library and Sutherland Shire Council you will showcase Council's values in all that you do.

Things You'll
Do:

Proactively plan, organise, deliver and evaluate a range of quality programs and events, ensuring the children and youth areas of the library are a welcoming environment.
Demonstrate leadership in all you do manage staff recruitment and team performance.
Maintain a current knowledge of reading trends for children and youth to support selection of materials for the library.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders including other Council business units as well as community groups and schools

Interview date:Interviews will be facilitated week commencing 8th May 2023

Package:$89,377 to $94,739 gross p.a. plus superannuation

Hours of work:Permanent Fulltime position, 35 hours per week with option of 19 day month over 7 days
