Position overview
The position is offered in connection with the Handbury Foundation project "Statistical Analysis of Rainfall Enhancement".

The Postdoctoral Fellow will collaborate with the project central investigators Professor Alan Welsh, Professor Ray Chambers and colleagues in RSFAS on research projects within the primary themes and topics of the project.

These themes and topics span but are not limited to

  • Develop an integrated data analysis system for gaugelevel precipitation data that builds on the modelling and analysis that Professor Ray Chambers has developed for rainfall enhancement data, as well as providing documentation and training that will help develop the knowledge and skills of other researchers who may want to run the system
  • Develop and publish improved statistical methods for the causal modelling and analysis of rainfall enhancement data and include these in the integrated data analysis system
  • Develop and publish related statistical methods for the causal modelling and analysis of data related to environmental mitigation initiatives.
