Davidson Technology are currently supporting a leading utilities organisation at the heart of Australian communities.

They are one of Australia's most diverse workforces and are continually looking for innovative ways to excel, meaning their investment in technology and people is immense.


We are seeking an Engineering Manager for the Digital Engineering Team for an initial 12-month contract role, with the view for extension.


About the Role


In this role, you will manage a team of highly skilled engineers to develop and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions using the latest technologies.


You will align the digital strategy to capability and service needs to give direction to projects and teams around best fit and re-use for enterprise patterns that can be leveraged in many areas.

You will be a platform custodian (UiPath, Appian, Boomi) and be accountable for governing and supporting engineering delivery aligned to strategic priorities and roadmaps


About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in software engineering, and with at least 3 years of experience leading and coaching engineering teams
  • Demonstrated experience effectively engaging and working with internal and external stakeholders to manage demand and backlog
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to support multiple integration programs simultaneously
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML)
