About the Role


As Deputy Principal, you will:


  • Assist the Middle School Principal as a key member of the leadership team to develop, articulate and commit to implementing the college explicit improvement agenda, with a focus on building teacher capability and student engagement.
  • Deputise for the Middle School Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Provide a holistic approach to student management and wellbeing that is both enabling and proactive.
  • Investigate and manage behaviour incidents.
  • Track, analyse and share student data that leads to improved attendance, effort and behaviour.
  • Lead and linemanage Heads of Department.
  • Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
  • Be futures oriented and strategic.
  • Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
  • Manage resources to achieve goals.
The Deputy Principal (Middle School) is accountable to and under the direction of the Middle School Principal.
