YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our company as the Head of Sales for our ANZ Food & Nutrition Team based in Melbourne.


Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director in APAC, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the ANZ sales strategy to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

You will have proven strategic agility, be commercially focussed with extensive experience managing large commercial teams and be able to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and deliver the ANZ Country sales strategy, ensuring the strategy is effectively communicated and executed by the commercial teams and achievement is measurable
  • Operating as an effective leader, provide focus and direction to a commercial team of 3 direct reports and 8 indirect reports
  • Develop the strategic alignment of Principal strategies and marketing activities
  • Lead key product development projects
  • Manage Country financial performance
  • Mange the preparation of annual financial budgets and provide financial forecasting
  • Optimise margins by reviewing, guiding, and optimising pricing
  • Maintain appropriate involvement in industry bodies and exhibitions (on behalf of both company and principals) and contribute to the broader development of the Food & Nutrition Teams
  • Maintain comprehensive analysis of market and competitor activities

YOUR PROFILE:


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field with postgraduate qualifications preferred
years' experience in commercial sales within a chemical or chemical distribution industry (raw ingredients) advantageous

  • Demonstrated experience leading large commercial teams with evidenced sales results and service excellence outcomes
  • Working knowledge and experience of SAP and MRP systems
  • Proven track record of leading change, improving engagement and delivering results
  • Results orientated with strong solutionbased selling skills
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with demonstrated strategic agility
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, mentor and inspire
  • Must have a best practice continuous improvement and customer excellence mindset
  • An agile, highly collaborative, and early adopter mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Strong persuasion and presentation skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills active listener and outstanding communicator
  • A strong work ethic, flexible in approach and supportive of others
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills and ability to work well as part of cross functional teams
  • Ability to travel interstate, transtasman, APAC
