The Finance and Corporate Services Department is responsible for bringing a commercial perspective to business decision making, supporting The Royal Women's business by providing operational and strategic information, expertise and guidance in the areas of finance, procurement, contractual management, payroll, facilities management and strategic asset management.


Your contribution


Reporting to, and working with the Manager, Facilities and PPP Management, the role of the Facilities, Coordinator, is to ensure that the hospital's property assets are managed and maintained in a manner that certifies all contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations are complied with as they relate to building management, and that a strong economic and customer focus is applied to all services.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Assist the Manager, Facilities and PPP Management with building maintenance programs, ensuring that the hospital complies with all its regulatory, statutory and contractual obligations, as they pertain to building maintenance and codes
  • Prepare annual work schedules that detail capital works required to be undertaken at RWH properties, in order to ensure that that they comply with all regulations and meet day to day requirements;
  • Ensure that all maintenance and rectification works are undertaken in a safe, expeditious and economic manner, under direction of the Manager, Facilities and PPP Management
  • Where necessary ensure that all trades persons entering the hospital's property assets comply with all requirements
  • Be a positive agent of change within the hospital
  • Take on other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Manager, Facilities and PPP Management.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement


Please be aware that in line with the Health Minister's Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccination Order, all workers at The Women's regardless of role, will be required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 or hold an acceptable medical exemption.


Influenza Vaccination Requirement

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.


As this role fits into category C of the departments risk ratings, applicants are strongly encouraged (although not required) to be vaccinated against influenza.)



All applicants will be required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status.
