About the Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and based at our site in Smithfield you will be responsible for the preparation and control of work packages for maintenance activities across the Smithfield site.

The focus of the role will be to effectively co-ordinate daily maintenance team activities as per the site's Asset Management Strategy to maximize plant availability and minimise costs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Periodic preventative maintenance tasks and corrective actions.
Ensuring workshop overhauls and equipment/infrastructure repairs are allocated and completed in a planned, timely manner.
Attending to production equipment breakdowns promptly and taking steps to minimise down time.
Maintaining complete records for all maintenance activities through the CMMS system with the assistance of mobile data control.
Improving maintenance performance to best practice standards and willing to lead to check jobs.
Maintaining housekeeping and safety in workshop and stores to the highest level.
Assisting with Maintenance labour and material cost performance reviews on a weekly basis and implementing strategies to ensure performance meets the standard.
Ensuring all work by maintenance team complies with Vinidex EH&S Policies and Procedures.

About you:

Minimum 4 years' experience within a technical role with industrial manufacturing experience within a 24/7 operations for complex sites.
A background in engineering with MEX or CMMS system experience is highly desirable
An experienced planner with a background in maintenance
Planning and organisational skills
