u&u Recruitment Partners is proud to partner with a highly reputable steel making coal producer in QLD. Our client is a global mining house with various mining operations across Australia and overseas.

The Opportunity


My client has a unique opportunity for a Deputy / ERZ Controller a medium-sized underground longwall mining operation in QLD met coal.

The Deputy / ERZ Controller will work closely with the SSE and Undermanagers to provide a safe environment for all production crews through day-to-day, 24/7 mining operations.


Other responsibilities include:

Supervising your crew - operators and maintenance personel;
Adhere and enforce QLD regulatory and legislative guidelines at all times;
Promote the operations' safety culture each and every day;
Work closely with your Undermanager to maintain the "gold standard" in longwall mining; and

Conduct safety observations and correct behaviours/processes and promote these to your crew(s) at all times.

About You


To be successful in this role, you must possess:
A QLD or NSW Deputy practising certificate;
5+ years experience as a Deputy / ERZ Controller in UG coal;
Acute people management and communication skills; and

The ability to work on a 7/7 Roster. FIFO Brisbane (all expenses covered), DIDO and Residential options are available to you also.
