Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.


About the role


Reporting into the the Event & Experience Manager, you will be responsible for supporting with Movember events & activations, these include; campaign launch events, end of campaign celebrations, supporter engagement/stewardship events, partner events, brand activations & webinars.


You will assist with the delivery of the 'Australian Go To Market Plan' with the focus of bringing Movember's brand to life through in person events and moments.

All events aim to galvanise the existing Movember community and acquire new supporters across all of Australia.

This position is being offered on a fixed term full time contract basis (6 months).

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home, our modern Richmond office, and on-site events.


You'll have the opportunity to

  • Support in delivering our event strategy through the execution of Movember events.
  • Assist with event logistics and operations including sourcing quotes, securing; venues, entertainment, catering, event décor, briefing in creative assets & managing invites & ticketing, formulating run sheets through to supporting with post event analysis.
  • Coordinate event timelines and keep relevant stakeholders up to date.
  • Ensure events are delivered on budget and negotiate charity discounts with suppliers where possible.
  • Support with the delivery of partner and community fundraising events.
  • Ensure that events are delivered in line with the Movember brand and values.

For this role, you'll need

  • Demonstrated experience in event organisation & operational delivery.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage several events concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and growth environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible working style.
  • To approach challenges with creativity, pragmatism and innovation.
  • Ability to both give and receive feedback as part of a high performing team.

Bonus points for

  • Tertiary qualifications in Events, Hospitality or other related discipline
  • Previous experience working in fundraising
  • Previous experience working for a NFP organisation
