The Role


Due to growth and with exciting projects in the pipeline we are looking for a cadet Contracts Administrator/Project Coordinator who thrives working on a diverse luxury portfolio.


You will need knowledge of Australian Standard, You will also be managing contract performance, budgets and should have a working knowledge of the QLD Security of Payments Act.

This role is for you if you have outstanding attention to detail, proficiency with the figures and are motivated to meet deadlines


The Role


We are searching for an experienced Contracts Administrator that loves working on a diversified premium portfolio due to expansion and new projects in the pipeline.


You must have extensive understanding of Australian Standard and customised Head Contracts and Subcontracts, as well as a track record of taking full responsibility for project cost control and reporting.

You will also be overseeing contract performance, budgeting, and should be familiar with the Queensland Security of Payments Act.

This position is for you if you have exceptional attention to detail, excel in math, and are driven to achieve deadlines


Responsibilities:


  • Subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, and procurement timelines must all be prepared.
  • Participate in work scope planning to ensure that scope gaps are minimized and cost savings are maximized.
  • Contract terms and conditions should be negotiated with subcontractors.
  • Support and coordinate the examination and timely approval (or dispute) of payment claims filed by project subcontractors, as well as the development of Payment Schedules. (Security of Payments Act)
  • In collaboration with the construction teams, review the authenticity of subcontractor deviations and assess them.
  • Implementation of forecasting and costcutting procedures/strategies
  • Produce fast and accurate cost analyses to determine the root cause of any deviation (positive or negative) and offer early warning when estimates diverge from budget.
  • Manage all reporting, including status reports, project reports, program reports, and risk reports, and ensure that all reporting has sufficient content and is submitted on time
  • Actively build strong relationships with key stakeholders and manage ongoing communication, inclusive of regular reporting and meetings

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working as a Contracts Administrator/ Project Coordinator for a residential or commercial Construction Company or similar experience is desirable
  • 35 years experience handling projects for residential/commercial
  • Procore experience is highly advantageous but not essential
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills to write reports, general project communications and to successfully develop and manage stakeholder relationships
