Our Client is currently looking for a
Manager Marketing and Communications on a full-time basis.
Location:
Armadale
Department's Purpose:
Provide expert advice on the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement, communication, corporate affairs and marketing activities in order to promote the Client in a manner consistent with its values, reputation and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, ENGAGEMENT, MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGIES
- Create and deliver innovative and contemporary communication and engagement strategies which develop the Client's reputation community and service outcomes.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to set directions, engage and empower them to deliver on our aspirations.
- The development and alignment of operational activities and plans with the broader organisational purpose to ensure vision is translated to outcomes.
- Development and implementation of strategies for actively promoting the Client's activities in the media and wider community in line with strategic objectives.
- Exercises sound evidencebased judgement and encourages the team to contribute to decision making and operational planning of work tasks.
- Use the data available to highlight trends, identify options and make recommendations which will result in greater effectiveness of our communication, engagement and marketing strategies and tactics.

- Lead an innovative and creative functional area which exceeds our stakeholder's expectations and delivers accessible community outcomes.
- Set clear directions, and engage, motivate and empower team members to work collaboratively to deliver high quality and sustainable outcomes.
- Ability to identify, mitigate and resolve organisational risks in line with governance framework
- Understanding and ongoing leveraging of financial and valuebased literacy, key process outcomes and compliance
Requirements of the Job
- Comprehensive knowledge of approaches to enhancing our customer's experience, preferably in a local government environment.
- Uses advanced conceptual and practical knowledge of communication, marketing, public relations, advertising, and promotions.
- An understanding of government agencies, its functions, practices, protocols and how the Client can enhance our advocacy and interactions.
- Advanced influencing skills with the ability to work alongside and influence a variety of stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or another related field.
- Possession of Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate.
