About the Role


The Project Delivery Branch provides project management services to clients and customers across the organisation including consultation, coordination and management of the delivery of capital programme including the design, delivery and maintenance of commercial construction projects.


In this role, you will be required to project manage various priority capital works projects of differing complexity for a range of internal clients to deliver positive and sustainable outcomes to the Sunshine Coast Council region.


Key Duties

  • Research, evaluate and make well informed recommendations to Council on proposals and issues relating to a broad range of strategic planning and major projects.
  • Coordinate and Project manage medium to large infrastructure projects and priority projects for the region, primarily across the design and construction phases.
  • Provide advice to Councillors, Council personnel and the public on policy matter and projects, requiring the assessment of the work of other professionals and/or the management of external consultants.
  • Assist in establishing work processes to meet Branch and Departmental priorities by monitoring, controlling, and reporting on the various projects.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, systems, procedures, and operational standards to facilitate effective administration.

About you

  • You possess tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or other similar qualifications relevant to the field and substantial relevant experience.
  • You have substantial experience in infrastructure and building planning and design, and within the construction management phases of delivery on a medium to large scale.
  • You have substantial project management experience in project development, management, economic analysis, and financial management skills.
