Business Bank (BB) offers a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers.

We also take care of our personal and institutional online trading customers.

Everyday Business Banking (EBB) team supports the full spectrum of customers' needs from start-up businesses to institutional customers, including product management, analytics and customer strategy.


Merchant Solutions supports our clients to operate and grow their business, through the provision of innovative payment solutions that help them better engage with their customers and suppliers.

We are accountable for the end-to-end business customer experience and the delivery of analytical capabilities to support our business customers.

The eCommerce Crew within Merchant Solutions manage CommBank's online payment acquiring portfolio, including well known products such as BPOINT, Powerboard and CommWeb.

_Key Responsibilities _

  • Manage the squad's performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc.
  • Drive project exploration and inception to ensure alignment of product strategy.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and business, translating this for the squad.
  • Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
  • Formulate hypotheses to validate customer problems and define clear learning objectives that will inform product roadmap and prioritisation decisions.
  • Maintain a healthy prioritised Backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes.
  • Manage the merchant lifecycle, implementing improvements as required.
  • Ensure developer documentation is up to date, meeting the needs of users.
  • Ensure customers, developers and suppliers have the support they require and problems resolved.
  • Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations.
  • Identify, articulate and manage risks and compliance across streams of work.
  • Lead and develop the product roadmap, and engagement with senior stakeholders/ business units to manage the delivery of product roadmap.
  • Lead the squad daytoday to deliver change and lifecycle activities.
  • Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to.

_We're interested in hearing from people who have _

  • Have proven Product Owner experience, ideally within Acquiring, Issuing, Payments or eCommerce segments
  • An understanding of Visa / MasterCard / eftpos card schemes
  • A passion for product ownership & solving customer problems
  • Experience working with third party suppliers including management of the relationship
  • Great team leader with experience leading client services or technical support teams
  • Are strong communicators, both Verbal and Written
  • A curiosity for allthingsdigital, keeping tabs on the latest technology trends
  • Developed Thought leadership, decision making and prioritisation skills
  • Experience in liaising with a range of stakeholders from senior managers to technical developer teams
  • Highly analytical skills with a strong commercial acumen
