Your opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Payroll Officer to join our payroll department who are aligned to the HR function.

In this role you will be working closely with the Centre Teams in both AU & NZ with the processing of the weekly payroll.

In addition, you will liaise with the wider payroll team in delivering accurate, on time payment of wages to all of our employees, allowing them to focus on providing our customers with the best possible customer experience.


Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the NZ Weekly payroll and support the AU weekly payroll including but not limited to:
  • Accurately processing and checking of both the AU/NZ weekly payrolls
  • Interpreting agreements and employment contracts in relation to overtime, penalties, allowances etc. along with assisting with maintaining the awards / agreements
  • Liaising with HR and the business on payroll related matters whilst being the primary payroll contact for NZ
  • Payroll Administration in all elements of the employee lifecycle including electronic filing
  • Support the team on general payroll enquires
  • Support weekly AU payroll reconciliation, banking, monthend and yearend
  • Support the team managing user requests/enquires for access to HR systems
  • Always deliver exceptional customer service whilst maintaining high levels of process performance
  • Pursue opportunities for continuous process improvement

What will set you

You will be a passionate, dynamic, self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high performing culture.

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems
  • Peoplesoft / Datacom Easipay / Kronos desirable
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and legislation, ideally with AU/NZ experience (preferably in the retail sector)
  • Ability to interpret multiple awards/enterprise agreements and relevant legislation
  • Reliable, motivated with a cando mindset
