Our client in local government within the South-Eastern suburbs of Perth are looking for an enthusiastic Administration and Compliance Officer to carry out compliance inspections for verge inspections.


Scope:

To facilitate the work of the Technical Services Directorate by:

  • Undertaking inspectoral duties on matters that fall between the property line and kerb line in relation to the construction of residential and commercial crossovers (concrete, brick paved and asphalt)
  • Undertaking inspectoral duties on matters relating to pre and post verge inspections, verge obstructions, verge treatments, street light maintenance including City owned street lights being monitored and repaired in a timely manner
  • Providing administrative support within the Technical Services Directorate

Position duties:


  • Ensure customer enquiries are resolved in accordance with Council policies and Local Laws
  • Prepare and record financial transactions accordingly
  • Inspect and approve crossover plans
  • Carry out post crossover inspections for compliance, and pre/post verge inspections for development works
  • Carry out inspections in relation to verge obstructions, verge treatments, and streetlight maintenance
  • Previous experience in an administrative, compliance and semitechnical role.
  • Previous experience working in a semitechnical engineering environment.
  • Current C Class Drivers License
  • Construction Induction card (White card)
  • Possession of, or ability to, obtain a current National Police Certificate
  • Skills in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
