Where you will be based


Sydney Local Health District's Community Health Centres have a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.


There are two positions available as follows:

  • 24 hours per week
  • Croydon Community Health Centre in the Child Protection Strategy Unit (CPSU)
  • 16 hours per week Marsden Street Community Health Centre, Camperdown, in the Domestic Violence Strategy Unit (DVSU)

About the role


The purpose of the position is to offer administrative support to the SLHD Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Strategy Unit that encompasses the Child Protection Strategy Unit and the Domestic Violence Strategy Unit.

This includes the day to day administrative operating of the programs; maintaining office procedures and systems; data entry & maintenance and document preparation.


We are looking for someone who...**- Has excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, clinicians and support staff, both verbally and in writing.

  • Can ensure high quality document preparation, including training materials, policy, planning and promotional documents.
  • Currently holds an unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence (P2 acceptable) (will be beneficial).

About working for SLHD

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
