This opportunity


Infrastructure and Major Construction (IaMC) Group is a broad team with accountabilities that include Data Centre and the Field Operation and Maintenance activities of TPG Telecom's national fixed-line network and the upgrade and enhancement of all facilities in our mobile and fixed networks.


The Logistics and Procurement coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing procurement activities related to IaMC projects and operations.

The Logistics and Procurement coordinator will work closely with functional managers, project managers, procurement department, logistic support and vendors to ensure the timely procurement of project and operations logistics materials, equipment, and services also will be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement activities related to project and operations logistics, including the procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts, consumables.
  • Collaborate with project managers and logistics managers to identify procurement needs and requirements.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities and negotiate contracts with vendors to achieve cost reductions.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and ensure that procurement orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project managers, logistics managers, and vendors.
  • Leading supply chain sustainability/ESG initiatives
  • Liaise with 3rd party storage facilities to ensure proper storage of materials.
  • Coordinate delivery & storage of project materials.
  • Develop and implement a system for tracking materials to ensure accurate and timely delivery to the construction site.
  • Collaborate with the project team to plan material needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of materials received if required.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials from storage to the construction site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to material storage and handling.
  • Maintain accurate records of material inventory and usage.
  • Implement company procedures for material waste reduction, disposal and recycling.
  • Take reasonable care of your own and that of another person's safety and wellbeing at work.
  • Ensure that you are familiar with TPG policies and procedures, and successfully completed all required training.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related area (e.g. Engineering, IT/Telecommunication, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Business etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP or Oracle
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and regulations in the telecommunications industry is a plus
