The Energy Developments (ED) team at Xodus provides consultancy services to the energy sector during the early stages of project development from inception to Front End Engineering Design (FEED).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced energy development professional to lead ED within the Asia Pacific region and advance the development of the group through the next stage of growth.

The ED team performs a critical role in Xodus by leading and integrating the various technical disciplines and specialists to deliver multidiscipline work.

In leading the small and dynamic ED team, you will support existing and new clients by developing their projects across a broad range of technologies and products across the energy sector spectrum.

In particular, we support our clients on their journey through the Energy Transition which demands a keen interest or experience in established and emerging technologies such as carbon capture, utilisation and storage, hydrogen and associated products, natural gas, LNG and renewable energy resources.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Vice President - APAC, your primary accountability is the award and commercially successful delivery of multi-discipline early phase development projects in the APAC region.

You will be accountable for the strategic direction of the ED team in APAC, aligning with the overall company's Vision and specifically shaping and delivering Xodus' strategy for the APAC region to meet the changing needs of the energy industries in a world transitioning to cleaner energy.

The APAC region has specific focus on the energy industry in Australia and Japan and other countries in South East Asia, such as Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver Xodus Group KPI's by providing strategic direction and technical leadership for the Energy Developments team, being a key contributing member of the APAC leadership team, and ownership of the ED team P&L and delivery of the APAC budget.
  • Directly responsible for technocommercial success of all projects managed by the ED team.
  • Work with Xodus' other regional ED Managers to ensure consistency in the delivery of Xodus' ED services globally and to draw on the best resources for any particular opportunity.
  • Support the business development plans for the ED team and region including identifying business opportunities, leading and supporting proposal tendering, and promoting excellent client relationships.
  • Manage the recruitment, allocation, performance and development of personnel in your team in line with current and future capability needs and building a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Role model for the team behaviours that embody the company values of trust, responsibility and excellence and promote an inclusive culture.
  • Ensure that all legislative and HSEQ procedures and standards are applied to provide a consistent, safe and secure environment for all Xodus personnel, clients and stakeholders.
  • Review and approve tender proposals in line with Xodus' contract management procedure.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Sound technical and commercial understanding of energy related projects.
  • Track record in leading the delivery of assignments with successful technocommercial outcomes.
  • Experience in the supervision and development of a team with a strong team culture.
