Your Role


In this influential position, you will be working closely with and reporting directly to the CEO and be the linchpin in propelling the organisation's growth and success across their AgTech division.

Your responsibilities encompass the development and execution of strategic sales plans aimed at achieving revenue targets and broadening their customer base.

This role demands a unique blend of robust leadership, business acumen, and a proven track record in sales management.

In addition, your role will see you

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies encompassing sales, marketing, and project initiatives for optimal implementation.
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify product placement, pricing, and distribution opportunities. Execute targeted promotional campaigns across diverse mediums.
  • Strategically plan and manage the company's participation in industry expos, trade shows, and conferences. Showcase products, nurture relationships, and generate leads.
  • Forge senior partnerships and network at industryspecific events, establishing connections with potential clients, stakeholders, and influencers to expand market presence and influence.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive sales team performance, enabling the achievement of individual and team targets.
  • Lead the sales team in devising strategies for planning, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to monitor sales performance, prioritize coaching and mentoring, fostering collaboration, and driving a highperformance sales culture.
  • Implement effective sales training programs to enhance the sales team's skill set.
  • Manage Performance Development Reviews for the sales team and oversee recruitment within the sales department.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams like Marketing and Operations, ensuring seamless project execution and maximising customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts for senior management's review.

You
In addition to the above it is important that you can address the following

  • Proven track record in technology sales, preferably with knowledge of the agriculture sector.
  • Previous experience in sales leadership, with a focus on coaching and developing highperformance sales teams.
  • Qualification(s) or extensive experience in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Highly desirable: established partnership networks within the agricultural, mining, and/or logistics industry.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Robust analytical and problemsolving abilities, with the capability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally for client meetings, events, and to support the regionalbased sales team.
