Where you'll be working


The position is primarily located in the Mona Vale Hospital Community Health Centre but will also provide assistance to the Brookvale Community health Centre and the MVH inpatient wards as required.


What you'll be doing


The Physiotherapy Assistant will be involved in basic patient care, clinical duties and/or administrative support under the supervision of the Physiotherapists within the team.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation. Ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, with experience within a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or other qualification deemed equivalent by NSLHD.
  • Identify skills and knowledge in the provision of assistant's activities to provide support for, AHPs, clients, families and carers as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising AHP.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
