  • Carl Stephen Our client is a retail business that has undergoing strong growth and is now in a period transformation. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, the company is looking for a Purchasing Manager to set up and build out a purchasing function, as well as lead a small team.

Job Description:


As the Purchasing Manager, you will play a critical role in the growth and success of the company by developing and implementing purchasing strategies that drive cost savings and increase efficiency.

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and supply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve favourable terms and conditions.
  • Manage the purchasing process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 reports, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to support their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost savings.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
