About the Role
As a Care Home Concierge you will contribute to a customer centric experience within the Care Home.

You will assume the front of house responsibility and be required to actively perform the duties to deliver a consistent and welcoming first impression to the Care Home.

About the care home


Bupa Templestowe is a modern care home, located 20km's North West of Melbourne's CBD, close to the Yarra River and scenic parklands.

It consists of 4 communities, with a Clinical Care Manager and Registered Nurse in each community. We have dementia care and high care units, within this 142-bed care home. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.


Duties

  • First point of contact and 'Welcome' resource for tours including providing comforts including 'tea/coffee offer' etc.
  • Ensure the tour path is prepared and presentable.
  • Continual and consistent maintenance of display room.
  • Responsible for overseeing the dining room for dinner service.
  • Check in and communicates with the family and to the Leadership Team the following day.
  • Support Admissions Manager with preadmission preparation and welcome on day of admission that everyone knows their role and the home is ready.
  • Provision of efficient and effective general administrative support including document management, mail, security, and reporting duties.
  • Monitor the actual utilisation of the administrative budget and escalate if there is any over expenditure.
  • Support the Care Home leadership team in implementing organisation initiatives and community events.
  • Engage with residents and employees to seek and review all feedback and act accordingly to resolve any issues
  • Organise bookings and tracking of all resident hairdressing and beauty appointments

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a Service (Hotel/Retail) or Aged Care environment preferred
  • Strong Customer service experience and complaints management
  • Team leadership and engagement skills
  • Strong organisational skills and problemsolving skills
  • Knowledge of Accreditation and compliance standards preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WHS
  • Experience in holding team training sessions
  • Strong communication and literacy skills
